Music Lessons
Gilbert Galindo’s extensive teaching experience includes private instruction in composition, music theory, music history, trumpet, elementary general music and band as a Teaching Artist in New York City public schools, and as a guest band clinician in Texas.
Lessons in music composition, songwriting, music theory, and music history are offered in-person in the NYC tri-state area, or via Skype or Zoom for students outside the tri-state area.* Read here to find out about Mr. Galindo’s approach to music education. Music composition & songwriting
Learn to hone your composition or songwriting skills with expert professional feedback, advice, and proven methods through your original music and assigned composition exercises.
Music theory & history
Learn the basics of music theory and/or history from ancient music, through the common practice era, and to current and diverse modes of music theory and movements.
Not offered at this time: Brass (trumpet, horn, trombone, etc.) and piano
To sign up for lessons, read the Lessons Policy and fill out the online Lessons Sign-up Form. When the form is received, Mr. Galindo will set up an initial phone or video chat to schedule your lessons, to get acquainted, and to answer any questions you may have. After the initial chat, a Lessons Agreement will be drawn and signed and then lessons may begin!
*Until the COVID-19 pandemic is over, all lessons will be given via Zoom or Skype.
